A New Direction for the National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center (NYVPRC)
Effective October 2007, the NYVPRC is shifting from its original focus on serving the general public to a more limited focus on serving key local government leaders and community leaders who are best positioned to plan, implement, and sustain community-wide youth violence prevention strategies. See About Us for more complete details about the new direction for the NYVPRC. Since the transition of the NYVPRC to this new focus began in earnest only in October2007, at this point, it is anticipated that the redirection will be completed by the end of 2008. Among other things, this transition will include determining whether and how best to incorporate this section of the current site into the design of the new site. Future updates to this section of the site will be made once those decisions have been finalized. This will occur sometime in 2008.
