    The National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY), formerly the National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities, operates as a dissemination center funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. NICHCY provides information on disabilities in children and youth; programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities; special education law; and research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities. NICHCY's Web site offers information about (1) specific disabilities, (2) early intervention services for infants and toddlers, (3) special education and related services for children in school, (4) resources and connections in every state, (5) individualized education programs, (6) parent materials, (7) disability organizations, (8) professional associations, (9) education rights and what the law requires, and (10) transition to adult life.
